A six-seater Scandinavian designed table welcomes guests at the entrance focal. As one of Our Home’s focal additions to its furniture line, this Scandinavian Dining Table pays homage to the likes of Hans Wegner’s design ideology. Finished in light walnut, the table’s sleek and clean lines give off a Mid-Century Modern vibe while at the same time staying true to its Scandinavian proportions. Six light walnut dining chairs surround the table. Reminiscent of the A-Frame styles of Hans Wegner and Finn Juhl, the chairs elicit a vintage feel while at the same time provide maximum ergonomic comfort. Richly grained wood in light walnut is paired with taupe fabric upholstery for a stunningly warm mix of materials. A pair of Finn Juhl inspired accent chairs donned in bright yellow fabric gives off a pop of vibrant color and evokes a very summer mood. Combinations of yellow and brown throw pillows serve as perfect accents for the sofas and picks up the yellow of the accent chairs for a bit of color coordination. Streamlined Mid-Century Modern proportions are used for the center, side and console tables, also finished in rich walnut. Accoutrements are restricted to white and yellow for a consistent and cohesive feel as evidenced by a full bunch of yellow and white daisies inside a white glass vase on the center table matched with tall candelabras with bright yellow candles. At the sides, a fruit bowl with lemons cap off the summery feel of the space.
A solid wood bedframe and headboard with geometric lines sets the scene for the bedroom vignette. Deep, richly grained wood in walnut evokes a Mid-Century Modern look while giving off a Scandinavian feel in its proportions. Donned in comfortable cotton sheets in brown and beige combinations, the bed is styled in a manner that elicits a mood conducive to sleep and slumber especially with the additions of brown and yellow throw pillows that again, evoke a summer mood. A pair of Mid-Century Modern bedside table flank the bed providing ample storage while on top, lamps with beige shades and glass bases with brass details take care of the lighting.
